Fix Tier 6: Participate in NYSUT Campaign and Rally!

Please participate in NYSUT’s efforts to fix Tier 6 of the New York state pension! Take part in the NYSUT letter campaign and, if you can, join the Sunday, Mar. 8 rally in Albany! Gov Hochul Names Dr. Falcón as Director in Residence for SUNY’s Leadership Institutes

        We are very proud to share that Gov. Alumni Lawsuits Put NCC Campus Climate in Spotlight

The NCCFT will continue our efforts to improve campus climate, but we are still waiting for the NCC administration to have a plan for improving campus climate.  The Middle States Commission on Higher Education reaffirmed NCC for accreditation in the summer 2025 with the condition that a report, including actions to improve campus climate, be sent by February 2026. NYSUT Supports SUNY Trustees Disapproval of Conzatti as NCC President

We learned on Friday, Nov 14, 2025, that the SUNY Board of Trustees had voted to disapprove CAO Conzatti’s permanent appointment as President at NCC. (https://www.suny.edu/about/leadership/board-of-trustees/meetings/webcastdocs/Reso_ActingOnaProposedAppointment_November2025.pdf)   We support SUNY’s efforts to ensure that NCC has leadership that aligns with the mission of the institution to provide a quality education, and our parent union, NYSUT, immediately issued a statement supporting SUNY (https://www.nysut.org/news/2025/november/suny-trustees-statement). Seven of us attended the NYSUT Community College Conference in Saratoga Springs on Nov. 7-9, 2025: Thomas Bruckner, Ziaullah Khan Durrani, Secretary Suzanne Kaebnick, Vice President of Non-Classroom Faculty Virginia Sanchioli, Alex Sanchioli, PAC Co-Chair Caitlin Thurber, and NCCFT President David Stern.
