Please participate in NYSUT’s efforts to fix Tier 6 of the New York state pension! Take part in the NYSUT letter campaign and, if you can, join the Sunday, Mar. 8 rally in Albany!
While Tier 4 members can retire at age 55 with 30 years of service and receive 60% of their final salary in annual pension, Tier 6 members, who retire at age 55 with 30 years of service, only receive 26% of their final salary. A Tier 6 member cannot retire until age 63, without facing significant penalties.
This is not fair. Visit the NYSUT Member Action page to take part in this campaign. Consider attending the Mar 8 rally!

I signed up to attend the rally on March 8th. Here it is now March 3rd and I have not received a ticket or information about a bus which I requested. Please help with an update. Am I signed up or not? My email address is gutierrezmd@optimum.net I am Marilyn Gutierrez, a retiree from Islip Public Schools and an officer of R C 21.
Is there any possibility Tier 6 age for full retirement outside of 30 years can be made 62 like every other Tier? Please
