Scholarships

The NCCFT is proud to support our students with scholarship for their achievements. Information about the scholarships we offer can be found below. If you would like to suggest to start a new scholarship, please contact the NCCFT office today and let us know what is on your mind!  Application forms are available through the NCC Financial Aid office, and are submitted through its online software.  

THE JOSEPH F. CARLINO, JR. ACADEMIC EXCELLENCE AND SERVICE SCHOLARSHIPS

This $3,000 scholarship is for full-time students graduating NCC in the Summer or Fall.  An additional $1,000 award is available for the first runner-up.  Recipients must have completed 48 credits as full-time students at NCC, must have at least a 3.70 cumulate GPA (maintained through graduation), must be accepted to an accredited four-year institution of higher learning, must be able to document unpaid and voluntary service to NCC and/ or your community while a student at NCC.  Applications are generally due in March. 

THE JOSEPH F. CARLINO, JR. MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP

This scholarship awards tuition and fees of a student who is Nassau resident entering NCC in the Fall semester, who graduated from high school in the preceeding spring. Recipients must also be enrolled as a full-time student at NCC in mathematics, computer science, or information technology degree program. They must have a high school cumulative GPA of at least 3.0.  While non Nassau residents may apply, if awarded the scholarship, the winner will have to pay the difference between Nassau residents’ tuition and non Nassau tuition.  The deadline for application submission is generally in October. There is an additional $250.00 scholarship available in the spring for winners who keep up the good work.

THE M. DEBRA DESANTO STUDENT AIDE SCHOLARSHIP

One $300 scholarship is available per academic year.  Recipients must currently be student aides or federal work study programs and must have been one for at least one complete semester. They must be full-time NCC students in good academic standing; must have completed a minimum of 15 academic credits at NCC and have a minimum GPA of 3.00.  Applications are generally due in March.

THE AARON SELIGMAN MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP

One $1,000 scholarship is available per academic year.  Recipients must be full-time NCC students in good academic standing during the academic year in which the application is submitted; must have completed at least 2 full-time semesters at NCC and a minimum of 48 academic credits at NCC; must have successfully completed 16 academic credits in mathematics, computer science, and/ or information technology; must be actively involved in a leadership activity with 2 letters of appropriate recommendation, and must have a minimum GPA of 3.50.  Applications are generally due in March.

THE CARMINE DESANTO STEM SCHOLARSHIP

One $300 scholarship is available per academic year.  Recipients must have a minimum overal GPA of 3.00, must have completed at least 15 academic credits at NCC; must be involved in a campus club or sport; and must have completed Calculus I witha a “B” or higher at NCC.  Applications are generally due in March.
