Concerned Faculty sent two letters in September to county and state leadership: one to Nassau County Executive Bruce Blakeman and County Legislators and one to Chancellor John King, SUNY Trustees, and Governor Kathy Hochul.
The letter to the county executive and legislature focused on mismanagement at the college. The letter to SUNY leadership and Governor Hochul addressed lack of shared governance, faculty working without a contract, attempts to undermine the full-time faculty union, mismanagement, and called on SUNY to intervene.
