Fall 2024 Chaos Presented to the Nassau Legislature

Speaking to the Nassau County legislature on Oct. 21, 2024, NCCFT Vice President of Classroom Faculty David Stern asks for help to avoid issues when NCC is reviewed by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education.

One Response

  1. The priority of the County is clearly not the viability of the college. The County has never lived up to its obligation to pay 1/3 of the cost of running the college and has instead preferred to raise tuition to cover costs. Current the County Legislators and the County Executive are focused on bringing the Sands Casino to the land adjacent to the college, a placement that can only be detrimental to an academic institution. Perhaps it’s time to appeal to the state Education Department.
